Last night, WWE hosted NXT No Mercy 2025 at the FTL War Memorial in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, showcasing a series of matches where several championships were contested. The event featured the WWE NXT Women’s Championship and the WWE Women’s Speed Title, both of which were successfully defended by the reigning champions.
In the fifth match of the evening, Jacy Jayne (c) faced off against Lola Vice, managing to retain her NXT Women’s Championship. Jayne's victory was aided by her Fatal Influence teammate Fallon Henley and an enigmatic hooded figure who made an appearance towards the match's conclusion.
It was a poignant moment for Vice, as her family was present at ringside during the match. After countering a roll-up from Jayne, Vice applied a rear-naked choke. However, while Jayne taunted Vice's family, Vice executed a DDT and transitioned into a guillotine chokehold.
As the match progressed, Jayne attempted to retrieve her title from outside the ring but was stopped by the referee. The two competitors exchanged strikes, leading Vice to exit the ring. At this moment, the mysterious hooded figure intervened, kicking Vice when the referee was distracted. Upon re-entering the ring, Vice was caught by Jayne's Rolling Encore, resulting in a pinfall defeat.
NXT No Mercy 2025: Women’s Speed Champion Retains Against New ChallengerDuring the opening segment of NXT No Mercy 2025, Shawn Michaels revealed that Lainey Reed was unable to compete due to medical reasons. Consequently, Sol Ruca defended her WWE Women’s Speed Title against a new opponent, Jaida Parker, who stepped in as Reed's replacement.
In the second match of the night, Sol Ruca (c) successfully defended her title against Jaida Parker. Despite an attempted interference from Lash Legend, Parker managed to evade the attack, which inadvertently led to Ruca's partner, Zaria, spearing Lash. This distraction allowed Ruca to execute a Sol Snatcher through the ropes, securing her victory.
